The GT-eLia: Working Group on inclusive and accessible eLearning promotes the sharing of best practices, research and development of strategies and resources with the goal of implementing an inclusive and accessible eLearning in higher education institutions in Portugal. The eLia group – inclusive and Accessible eLearning had its first meeting on March 19, 2014 at the initiative of the distance learning unit of IPLeiria. It is a formal group that aims to improve the accessibility and usability of the platforms and the digital content provided by institutions of higher education to all people and in particular those which have functional limitations derived from vision, hearing, neuro-cognitive or motor system. The GT-eLia is an open Group that allows the entry of new members and new taskforce that promote research and proposal of solutions for an inclusive and accessible eLearning.
